21st AUG 2017

Puvab AB, which is part of Hultafors Group since March 2017, will deliver workwear for ambulance staff in Norway, after having won parts of the tender process for ambulance workwear.

Puvab is Sweden’s leading supplier of protective wear certified for the protection against the thermal hazards of an electric arc for the energy and railway business. In 2013, the company introduced the brand Eripio Wear, which produces and markets workwear for ambulance staff and rescue services. Quality, environment and fit of the clothes have been important factors in the choice of supplier. These are all prioritized areas in Puvab’s development work and the contract shows that the company’s concept is well received in the whole of the Nordic region.

Puvab won tenders in Sweden, Denmark and Finland as early as the introduction year 2013, and now the Norwegian Ambulance Services have also discovered Eripio Wear, which makes the brand the fastest growing in the business area workwear for ambulance staff and rescue services in the Nordic region. Other customers who have chosen Eripio Wear include The Greater Stockholm Fire Brigade, Copenhagen Rescue Services, The Uppsala University Hospital Ambulance Services, Nerikes Fire Brigade.

”We are very pleased that we are now represented in all the Nordic countries. Our customers appreciate our flexibility and that we can offer new, smart solutions,” says Acram Marcoff, Operational Manager at Eripio Wear.

The range in question for the Norwegian Ambulance Services mainly consists of shirts, sweaters and polo shirts, and the first deliveries will be made at the end of the year. This contract further ensures the fast expansion and growth of Eripio Wear.

New Light-Weight Collection

PRESS RELEASE

Puvab launches a revolutional, light-weight series of protective wear

certified against the thermal hazards of an electric arc.

11 MAY 2017

Puvab, Sweden’s leading supplier of protective wear certified against the thermal hazards of an electric arc for the energy and railway business is strengthening its position on the market with the launch of a brand new series of protective wear.

Puvab AB has been a part of Hultafors Group since March 2017 and is now a brand under Snickers Workwear. Puvab is now launching a new light-weight series which is unprecedented on the market, practically reducing the weight by half, compared to similar garments on the market.

The product series is called GORE-TEX® PYRAD® Technology and is made from a material which is certified for the protection against the thermal hazards of an electric arc, and also against heat and flame, electrostatic properties, chemicals and for light welding work. The protection against the thermal hazards of an electric arc is measured in calories per cm2, and Puvab’s new product series has a protection as high as 51 cal/cm2.

The garments are also wind and water proof, and can be compared to advanced alpine products, where pockets and functions have been adapted for the energy business.

The new garments can be worn all year if they are combined with the right clothes inside and out, in line with Puvab’s system for layering. This principle is based on adjusting and keeping the body heat through layering insulating undergarments. The outer shell is made with GORE-TEX® PYRAD® Technology.

W.L Gore has developed the material, and in cooperation with Puvab, the functionality and design of the garments have been developed to ensure that they meet the high demands for certification of this type of protective wear. In addition to all the certifications, the user also benefits from the other advantages of the GORE-TEX® PYRAD® technology in these garments.

”This will change the entire work situation for working in cold, windy or rainy environments where protection against the thermal hazards of an electric arc is also needed. There are now considerably better conditions for working on wind mills in the mountains or in rough weather,” says Per Wagnås, MD of Puvab AB.

The new garments will be presented for the first time at the trade fair Elfack in Gothenburg, Sweden, on          9th – 12th of May 2017.
”The customers who have had a preview of the garments have been very excited,” Per concludes.

You will find Puvab at the stand B02:44 where the new collection will be presented.
